The Tunstall Jubilee Foundation was established in 2013 to help support the needs and ambitions of those who have been or are currently in Local Authority care, and particularly those young people leaving care and seeking further education or training and independence. The Foundation also supports other individuals and organisations who seek to promote and protect the lives and futures of such children and young people. Our funding comes from property owned and leased by the Foundation. These properties were gifted to the charity by ISP Fostering Agency when the business was sold to a private equity company.
We accept applications from charities and organisations. Support to individuals is channelled through another small charity originally founded by ISP but now independent and called The Spark Foundation. This has received a substantial annual grant from the Tunstall Jubilee Foundation since 2013. Our grants policy now favours small projects helping these young people in direct ways and with whom we seek to develop sustainable relationships, recognising the difficulties of short term and unreliable funding for such projects.
The Foundation is a charity recognised and regulated by The Charity Commission (Number 1151448) and is managed by a group of six Trustees with a range of qualifications, skills and experience but all have an interest in fostering, adoption and therapeutic child care.
As a charity the Foundation continues to be ambitious and is keen to hear from any innovative causes that would benefit from such funding.
